New data from the Railroad Commission of Texas reveals that Texas’ statewide flaring rate fell to an even lower record level at the end of 2021. The percentage of natural gas flared in Texas dropped to a new record low of 0.19% in November.

Release: 2021 Ends with Uptick in Job Growth in Texas Upstream Oil and Natural Gas Sector

AUSTIN – Data from the Workforce Commission suggests that Texas upstream oil and gas employment continues to climb as upstream employers expanded payrolls by 3,000 jobs in December 2021. At 188,700 upstream jobs, December 2021 jobs are up by 27,800, or 17.3%, from December of 2020.

Release: Job Growth Continues in Texas Upstream Oil and Natural Gas Sector with 2,900 New Jobs in September

AUSTIN – Data from the Texas Workforce Commission suggests that Texas upstream oil and natural gas employment expanded by 2,900 jobs in September. Also, August’s estimated job gain in the upstream sector was adjusted downward to 2,500 from the original 2,800. Since the low point in employment in September 2020, months with job gains have outnumbered decline months 10-to-2.
