Committees and Workgroups
A forum for TXOGA member companies to discuss policy issues relating to the management and reduction of carbon dioxide emissions. The workgroup will explore new ideas and evaluate existing proposals to seek industry alignment on the topic and determine which issues need a legislative or regulatory solution.
To proactively educate and inform Texans of the benefits and safety of the oil and natural gas industry, identify and dispel inaccuracies about the energy industry, and to ensure communication tools are being used effectively to promote the legislative, regulatory and judicial goals of the Association.
A forum for TXOGA member companies involved in or impacted by the EPA program for fenceline monitoring of benzene at petroleum refineries to be involved in the public discussion of the program and provide information on the program in Texas for public consumption.
The Industry Seismicity Workgroup is an industry-led workgroup that provides a forum for TXOGA member companies to communicate with other industry partners in order to help mitigate the risk for potential induced seismicity. The workgroup has been instrumental in developing Industry Recommended Practices for the Eagle Ford and the Delaware Basin.
Overall Tax Policy (Includes Legislative Committee) to discuss
statewide policy issues. Responds to issues arising from
the proposed implementation of new taxes and generates comments regarding general taxation issues. Also, includes school finance issues and general incentives impacting oil and
gas.
The Texas oil and natural gas industry is a global leader in the responsible production of energy that has powered life for more than a century. Always proactively innovating, Texas operators are committed to working collaboratively to develop our state’s natural resources while improving environmental performance. To better assess the issues of methane emissions and flaring and develop industry-led solutions, a voluntary coalition of companies and organizations have joined together to form the Texas Methane and Flaring Coalition.
