Upstream Oil and Gas Jobs in Texas Continue Uptick in October
AUSTIN – Data released by the Texas Workforce Commission indicates that upstream oil and gas employment in Texas continued to grow in October, with the sector adding 2,800 jobs. Also notably, the job gain for September was revised upward to 2,200 from the original estimate of 900.

TXOGA Statement on Public Utility Commission’s E3 Report
“The E3 report released today by the Public Utility Commission (PUC) recommends the implementation of a forward reliability market—a capacity market for the ERCOT system. Total system cost, cost to consumers—industrial and residential—and timeframes of implementation remain of great concern for the Texas oil and natural gas industry with this type of design.

Mobile Energy Learning Unit to Visit 5 Elementary Schools in El Paso This Week
El Paso – The Texas Oil and Gas Association (TXOGA) has partnered with Marathon Petroleum Corporation’s El Paso Refinery to bring the Mobile Energy Learning Unit (MELU) to five schools in El Paso this week, providing hundreds of elementary students a unique opportunity to learn about STEM education and careers in energy through the hands-on, interactive learning exhibit.
