TXOGA Statement on the Nomination of Oklahoma Attorney General Scott Pruitt for EPA

December 8, 2016

“Protecting the environment and growing the economy are not mutually exclusive and an EPA that pursues its mission with integrity puts science, not politics, first in its approach to regulation.  Oklahoma Attorney General Scott Pruitt understands that the states are best suited to implement oil and natural gas regulation and we’re hopeful that this EPA will work with the states to advance robust, science-based regulations that protect the environment while allowing for safe and responsible oil and natural gas activity that is so critical for our nation’s economy, our environment and our future.”
