TXOGA Announces Hiring of New Director of Community Relations for Houston and Southeast Texas

AUSTIN – The Texas Oil & Gas Association (TXOGA) today announced the hiring of Tracy Gonzales as Director of Community Relations for Houston and Southeast Texas. TXOGA President Todd Staples issued the following statement:

“Oil and natural gas fuel modern life and industry plays an indispensable role in delivering affordable and reliable energy that consumers depend on every day. Houston and Southeast Texas serve as our state’s energy corridor to the world. Tracy brings years of invaluable experience, and we look forward to her work with community stakeholders and TXOGA member companies to ensure that Texas remains the energy leader.”

Gonzales joins TXOGA after most recently serving as Governmental Relations Liaison to Houston and Harris County for the Texas General Land Office. She also previously worked in an executive role in Harris County’s judicial branch, the Texas Senate, and on several political campaigns.

Gonzales is a graduate of Hardin–Simmons University where she earned a Bachelor of Behavioral Science in Political Science. Gonzales has served as a member of the Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo as a volunteer and continues to give back to many charitable causes in her community such as assisting with galas, events, and other fundraising efforts.

She resides in the Houston area with her husband Travis, son Wyatt, and three dogs.
