TXOGA’s partnership with Blue Cross Blue Shield of Texas offers a simple solution to assist small member companies operating in the Texas oil and natural gas sector

AUSTIN – The Texas Oil & Gas Association (TXOGA) is pleased to announce an exciting new benefit for its member companies and their employees – the Association Health Plan. Through an agreement with Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Texas (BCBSTX), this new health care option is available to TXOGA member companies with 2 to 50 employees and will provide affordable group health coverage to their Texas employees.

This innovative product was designed to simplify the employers’ benefits administration experience with a user-friendly application that does not require individual or medical underwriting. In addition, it creates an effortless membership and renewal process with a one-stop online portal developed by Vimly® Benefit Solutions and known as SIMON®.

Available October 1, 2021, the new benefit supplements existing benefits available to member companies via TXOGA’s Workers’ Compensation Safety Group program.

“The health and wellbeing of industry employees and their families is a foundational goal of the Texas Oil & Gas Association,” said TXOGA President Todd Staples. “Our staff is committed to providing premium services such as the Association Health Plan and prioritizing programs that keep Texas’ energy sector safe, vibrant and strong.”

TXOGA’s Association Health Plan is available in all 254 counties across Texas and to eligible member companies headquartered in the State of Texas with 2 to 50 employees and oil and natural gas interests. Employers have the ability to choose from 11 unique medical plans, including PPO, HSA and HMO plan options.

The program was devised to help employees choose the right health care plan that fits their needs and budget. Benefits include, but are not limited to, competitive medical, dental and vision coverage, and the advantage of an employee benefits administration portal, SIMON®, that delivers a seamless experience for employers and brokers to more easily maintain membership and billing for their group – anywhere, anytime, and on any device.
